About Me


Satu-Minna Suorajärvi (b. 1967) is a Helsinki-based sculptor who uniquely bridges traditional sculpting techniques with digital technology. Since graduating with an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, her practice has focused on expanding the language of sculpture through 3D computer software, algorithmic modeling, and parametric design.

I have been 3d scanning an old house where I have been visiting during last 20 summers. The house is about 100 years old and has been saved from extensive reparations. The world around is changing rapidly and I have worries for the future of  this bourgeois save haven and the epoch it represents.
