Satu-Minna Suorajärvi (b. 1967) is a Helsinki-based sculptor who uniquely bridges traditional sculpting techniques with digital technology. Since graduating with an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, her practice has focused on expanding the language of sculpture through 3D computer software, algorithmic modeling, and parametric design.

Lost PLA technique in aluminium casting

I tried how PLA works in lost wax technique casting aluminiun.
Results were quite positive. PLA melts in 200 C, so it can
be used  instead of wax. But some prefer taking molds from 3D-printed objects and casting
in wax.
