Satu-Minna Suorajärvi (b. 1967) is a Helsinki-based sculptor who uniquely bridges traditional sculpting techniques with digital technology. Since graduating with an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, her practice has focused on expanding the language of sculpture through 3D computer software, algorithmic modeling, and parametric design.

During COVID-19 lockdown I have been making a lot of 3d modeling with Rhino Grasshopper. Digital working and social distancing meetings with Zoom, Teams and Skype have helped to participate virtually. Skydiving sculptures lasercutted wood pieces came to my studio and there are much awaited physical work ahead.
Satu-Minna Suorajärvi is sculptor and 3D designer from Helsinki, Finland. She is combining digital art with old traditions of sculpture bravely renewing them.
