About Me


Satu-Minna Suorajärvi (b. 1967) is a Helsinki-based sculptor who uniquely bridges traditional sculpting techniques with digital technology. Since graduating with an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, her practice has focused on expanding the language of sculpture through 3D computer software, algorithmic modeling, and parametric design.

Under the Surface exhibition in Gallery Arka

During this summer I have 3D printed ceramic installation titled "Hauru - Bladderwrack Forest”. Through various 3D modeling programs, I have studied organic forms found in nature. Some bone china reliefs are in Under the Surface -exhibition in Gallery Arka Vilnius.
