About Me


Satu-Minna Suorajärvi (b. 1967) is a Helsinki-based sculptor who uniquely bridges traditional sculpting techniques with digital technology. Since graduating with an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2008, her practice has focused on expanding the language of sculpture through 3D computer software, algorithmic modeling, and parametric design.

This Passage-scuplture is 3D-printed of 15 PLA  pieces, gun glued together and spray painted. Size 43 x 33 x 12 cm. Wall 3 mm. I modeled it with Rhino, I sweeped one rail of my husbands and son's profiles.
